HIGHLIGHTS AT CAPUA LAW

Capua Law is pleased to announce that Jordan E. Rogan has been admitted to the practice of law in North Carolina. Judge Merrell presided over Jordan's admission on October 20, 2025, and Natalia Talbot was her sponsoring attorney.

Capua Law hosted a Lunch & Learn tailored to the construction industry on Wednesday, October 22 at The Radical Hotel by Hilton in Asheville with lunch catered by Golden Hour.

Capua Law sponsored the 2025 Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K in Asheville this past weekend on Saturday, September 27! One year ago this event was canceled due to Hurricane Helene impacting WNC the day before Oktoberfest. We are so proud to be a part of the resilience of this community to come back even stronger!

Capua Law is excited to announce that Attorney Jonah Bamel has joined our firm. He brings numerous years of experience to Capua Law having worked in the North Carolina Court of Appeals, first as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable John M. Tyson and most recently as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Valerie Zachary.

"The Myth Behind North Carolina’s 1-year Construction Warranty," an article written by Paul Capua, was published in the Fall 2025 Issue of The North Carolina State Bar Journal.

Capua Law Legal & Accounting Assistant, Katelyn Price, is a Color Guard Instructor with the Lake Norman High School Wildcat Marching Band. She recently assisted in helping choreograph their field show and teaching guard/dance technique to the students as the approach to a new season in now upon us!

Capua Law is participating as the Presenting Sponsor of the cycling race series, Gran Fondo National Series (GFNS), in Boone, NC, on August 3. The race starts and finishes just around the corner from our office.

Attorney Paul Capua raced in the Asheville Gran Fondo cycling event on July 20 and came in second in his age group.

Katelyn Price joined Capua Law in June 2025 as our firm’s Legal & Accounting Assistant. She supports the firm at every level, with a focus on providing administrative, bookkeeping, and document management support along with assisting our senior paralegal on case and calendar management.

Chambers and Partners released its USA 2025 Legal Guide on June 5, and Capua Law was ranked as a leading firm, Band 3, in Construction Law. Founding Partner Paul Capua was also individually ranked.

The May 2025 issue of North Carolina Lawyer Magazine, a publication of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA), featured an article on Capua Law Partner Natalia Talbot titled, "Asheville Attorney Natalia Talbot Models Courage in the Face of Difficulty." The article discusses Natalia's resilience in the face of adversity not only on her journey to becoming an attorney, but also in her personal life.

Capua Law was honored to participate as a sponsor for Jazz for Justice. The event was held on Wednesday, May 28 at Highland Brewing Company Event Center. Paul and Christa Capua, Jordan Rogan and Stacy Snow represented our firm by attending the event.

The Construction Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association hosted a social at The Horton Hotel in downtown Boone on May 8. The team at Capua Law was very excited to participate in this event and had a wonderful evening. A special thanks to the NCBA for coordinating!

Jordan joined Capua Law in 2024 as part of our Document Clerk and Litigation Support team. In April 2025, she accepted the firm's offer to become an Associate Attorney. Jordan's areas of practice include civil litigation, business law and employment.

Paul Capua and Stacy Snow competed in the Thomas Wolfe 8K on Saturday, May 3. Both are avid runners and trained extensively leading up to the race. Stacy finished in fourth place among women in her age category and Paul finished first among men in his age category. Congratulations, Paul and Stacy!

Partner Natalia L. Talbot participated in the Smoky Mountain Relay this past weekend over the course of two days, April 25th-26th. The 200+ mile course was a scenic, wild, team adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just west of Asheville, North Carolina.

Natalia Talbot and Stacy Snow competed in the Lake James Half Marathon on Saturday, April 12. Both are avid runners and trained extensively leading up to the race. Natalia finished in third place among women in her age category. Congratulations, Natalia!
